The ARCC Collaborative Model

The key objective of the ARCC is to bring together all of the stakeholders involved in rhino and wildlife conservation in a collaborative and cooperative effort, turning the Crisis into an Opportunity.

Located as they are in the centre of the Eastern Cape protected wildlife areas, with access directly off the N2 highway, the ARCC’s two facilities are ideally placed to serve as focal points for meetings of stakeholders:

  • for the collation and distribution of anti-poaching information;
  • for research and the development of veterinary, ecological management, technological and socio-economic approaches to rhino and wildlife conservation, and
  • as facilities for the production and distribution of educational and awareness material.

Given the diverse administrative, communications, logistical and multi-media facilities  available in the ARCC, it also has an important role in providing operational support to both its partner organisations and to the projects which are based within it.

The following are some of the ARCC partners who are bringing reality to the aim of collaboration and cooperation and are the backbone of the effort to ensure the future of the rhino and all wildlife in the Eastern Cape.
